Zr Absorption Edge

Zr Absorption Edge

Just as an externally applied electric field affects the absorption edge via the Franz–Keldysh Effect, broadening the edge itself and inducing oscillations in the continuum part of the spectrum, so, in the case of an excitonic bandedge, there is substantial modification due to the presence of the field. At low fields, when the Coulomb interaction is strong compared to the potential drop across the exciton diameter, the exciton .

11/1/1999  · The Zr K-absorption edge energy (E 0 =17 998 eV) was set to 0 eV, approximately half way up the edge step of the standards and unknowns. After the normalization of the edge steps, direct comparisons can be made with XANES data for all samples (Fig. 1) .

Selecting any of the elements from the periodic table above will retrieve ascii files containing tabulations of the characteristic x-ray absorption edge energies, and of the anomalous scattering coefficients f’ and f as a function of incident x-ray energy. To generate a plot of selected scattering coefficients use the forms interface to this data.

8/1/1979  · Optical absorption measurements have revealed a strong shift of the fundamental absorption edge in Ni x ZrS 2 for x ? 0.12. The results are consistent with recent observations of a similar effect in Cu- and Fe-intercalated ZrS 2 and HfS 2. The charge transfer, rigid band model does not seem to be applicable for all intercalated layered transition metal dichalcogenides.

6/20/2017  · The temperature dependence of the absorption – edge energy has been determined in mixed layered transition-metal dichalcogenides of Zr S x S e 2 ? x, for x = 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 in the range of 32–300 K.The single crystals of Zr S x S e 2 ? x samples have been grown by the chemical vapor transport technique and characterized with the help of different methods.

Mass attenuation coefficients (µ/?) for Zr , Nb, Mo and Pd elements around their K- edges are measured at 14 energies in the range 15.744–28.564 keV using secondary excitation from thin Zr , Nb, Mo, Rh, Pd, Cd and Sn foils. 3/14/2001  · Using a 1m radius bent crystal spectrograph, the X-ray K absorption edge of zirconium in zirconium metal, zirconium oxide, zirconium tetrachloride and in zirconium oxychloride has been studied. In all the compounds investigated, it has been observed that the absorption discontinuity shifts towards the high energy side with respect to the pure metal.
